Jointly with a local consortium, was awarded short-term Power Purchase Contracts to provide 215MW in three sites of Peaking Power in Mexico. This Project covered North Baja California power summer needs under the Regional Protocol for the dispatch center in Mexico, for which close to 290MW were installed and commissioned.
Operation started June 2021, equipment was mobilized in record time utilizing generation technologies adapted to the challenges of this project (highest temperatures in Mexico), including natural gas-fired reciprocating engines, aeroderivative turbines and industrial turbines. This integrated approach provided a higher service level while using a wide variety of gas generation alternatives.”
